Donald L. Sexton is a retired United States Air Force Colonel who spent thirty years serving his country as a fighter pilot, commander, and senior leader. His career is rooted in discipline, accountability, and responsibility for people, missions, and taxpayer resources.
He served in both combat and leadership roles across the United States and overseas, ultimately retiring as a Colonel (O-6) after serving at the highest levels of the Air Force, including the Pentagon.
After military service, he continued working in aviation and defense, managing operations and budgets in both public and private sectors.
Donald Sexton believes Young County deserves transparent, ethical leadership that follows the law and respects rural values. He is ready to serve again, with a focus on fiscal responsibility, responsible budgeting, and auditing county finances to ensure every taxpayer dollar benefits Young County residents.
